Going OVER the total. I thought that after his post season last year, Buehler would head to the bullpen like John Smoltz and start a new career as a closer. I think I was right in that thinking because he has been brutal this season. Guy was on a HOF path. Terrible. I hate to see guys get hurt. We aren't going to over-think things. The guy has a 9.49 ERA in 7 road starts. Now. I don't always dwell on an ERA. Maybe he just gave up some untimely hits. Well - .341 BA Against 2.11 WHIP. You put 65 guys on base in 30 innings - rest assured some are coming around to score. Buehler ended his June with a 1-3 record in 5 starts, an 11.07 ERA allowing 27 runs on 28 hits in 20 innings. That is a .320 BA Against and 2.21 WHIP, and that is a horrible month. Nats have gone over in 7 straight. Mitchell Parker has better splits at home, but has struggled his last 12 starts. 3 runs in 10 of those 12 -- 4 or more in 6 of those 12. So giving up 3 runs isn't all that bad. It is bad when you are averaging a 4.1 innings of work. Then your bad bullpen comes into play. I think plays out to a 12 run game. Maybe the Nats drop their own double digits today.
