Taking the ROYALS here. What a terrible loss for KC, and our bankroll last night. Normally, after something like that I would shy away from the team. But this Royals bunch is scrappy. B2B World Series runs, plus 1 Championship. Small market team adds payroll for one last push as they will lose veterans at the end of the year. This team plays gritty. They don't sit on their heels waiting for the next year or day. I think the A's are a lousy team. The got us last night though. KC is an experienced club. They know they let a change to grab a Wild Card slip away. Won't happen with their ace on the hill today. I like Duffy. He's a tough lefty. Not so much love for Paul Blackburn. Ok. He has 3.02 ERA in 8 starts. It is 4.50 at home. He doesn't strike many guys out. 20 in 50 innings with 15 walks. A pitch to contact guy should be ripe for the Royals to get runs off of. Blackburn has allowed 4-0-5-0-4 runs his last 5 starts. I guess the line is telling us he gets another 0 today. Coming into the year he wasn't even in the A's Top 20 prospects but pushed himself into the top 30 with a strong Triple A showing. Again.
