Houston can win the division tonight with a victory. But the Mariners are two games back of the final AL Wildcard spot. With only two series left to go in the regular season, it's now or never for the Mariners.
In a contest that I see being decided late, or even in extras, I feel more comfortable laying the reasonable mid-sized price for the extra 1.5 runs of insurance.
For argument's sake, I'm calling the Mariners' Bryce Miller and the Astros' Hunter Brown a "wash" here.
Before their loss yesterday, the Mariners were riding an 11-5 stretch. I look for the more desperate visiting side to, at the very least, keep this one competitive enough to comfortably cover with the runline option.
