It's a huge series for both teams. If the Mets win two of three, they'll earn a playoff spot. The Braves are 1.5 games back of Arizona and two games back of New York.
But instead of sending out ace Chris Sale tonight, the Braves are handing the ball to rookie Spencer Schwellenbach (7-7, 3.61 ERA) who went seven scoreless vs. the Mets earlier in the season.
But I still like New York's Luis Severino (11-6, 3.79) is the correct call in this pressure-packed situation.
Severino enters on top form, having won four straight.
In the end though, I have no issues laying the price here for the extra 1.5 runs of insurance; the play is NEW YORK on the RUNLINE option.
