Edmonton got off to a super slow start last season and then went on to play in the Stanley Cup Final, only to lose to the Panthers in seven games.

The Oilers are now 0-2 this season as well and have looked bad on both ends of the ice, falling 6-0 to Winnipeg and 5-2 to the Hawks.

Note that Edmonton has seen the total go UNDER the number though in eight of its last 12 off a home loss as a -200 or greater favorite.

After last night's collapse, expect the home side to double down on the defensive end this evening, as its all hands on deck to try and avoid the 0-3 hole.

Calgary is off consecutive high-scoring victories, including a 6-3 win at home over Philly just last night.

Expect fatigue to be a factor for both sides and for this slower-paced affair to produce a lower-scoring outcome.
