This is an 8* TOP SHELF BLOWOUT on the Devils.

I play totals. I play underdogs. I also play favorites. I'm not afraid to lay chalk on a side, especially when I feel that it could or should in fact be a much larger favorite.

And that's the case here. New Jersey is the better team in this battle and I expect it to get the job done here.

The Devils are 15-8 and off a 3-0 home loss to St. Louis. Note though that New Jersey is 4-1 in its last five off a home loss as a -200 or greater favorite.

The Devils play with revenge as well after a 5-3 road loss here back in late October, and onte that NJ is 7-3 in its last ten in trying to avenge a road loss vs. an opponent.

Detroit is off back-to-back wins, but off the 2-1 OT home win over Calgary, I think the home side finally takes a small step back here.
