This is a 10* TOTAL BK on the OVER Leafs/Stars.
Two really good teams here obviously from each conference and they've been really great on both ends of the ice.
That said, I think we'll see a faster-paced affair here in Dallas as Toronto looks to set the early tone (and because of that I'll recommend a play on the OVER in this one.)
I have a few good reasons to think that Toronto will carry over its offensive momentum from its 5-3 home win over Buffalo last time out (previous to that it has seen the total go UNDER in three straight.)
But the last time the Leafs played the Stars they won in a high-scoring 5-4 victory (last February.)
Dallas is off back-to-back wins, but it's now seen the total go UNDER the number in three straight after a 3-1 win over Washington last time out. That's an important Over/Under against the spread stat that supports us here in thinking this will be a higher-scoring game though, as the Stars have seen the total go OVER the number in eight of their last ten (so that's 80% of the time over their last ten in this position) after playing to three or more straight UNDERS in a row.
Just giving this one the old eye test.
I see two really hot teams right now and I don't see either holding anything back. Ultimately I believe this faster-paced affair will indeed fly well OVER the number, just like it did in their last matchup vs. each other.
