Both sides have been playing to several higher-scoring games of late, but I believe the conditions are now correct for a much more defensive battle.
Denver is 15-11 after its most recent 132-129 OT win at New Orleans last night. Fatigue will clearly be a factor here for the Nuggets. Also note that Denver has seen the total go UNDER the number in seven of its last ten after playing to three or more straight OVERs in a row.
Phoenix is 14-13 after back-to-back losses. The Suns are coming off the 133-125 home loss to Detroit, but note that Phoenix has seen the total go UNDER in three of its last four off a SU/ATS home loss as a favorite.
With each side putting an added emphasis onto the defensive end like I believe it will, the UNDER is the correct call as far as the total is concerned.
