(NCAAF) Penn State vs. Boston College,
Point Spread: -2.50 | -108.00 Boston College (Home)
Result: Loss
This is an 8* BLOWOUT on Boston College.

For a number of different reasons, I think Boston College brings more to the table and look for it to pull away down the stretch for the comfortable ATS cover in the Pinstripe Bowl. Penn State is back bowling a little early, the four-year ban was shorted to just two at the start of the season and the Nittany Lions would barely deliver the goods, finishing just 6-6. Obviously the school, the players, the staff and the fan base has to be thrilled at just being here after the nightmare the program went through, something already confirmed by coach James Franklin: "It's a huge step for so many different reasons. I think it's a part of us getting back to where we belong in college football. ... We couldn't be more excited." That sounds like a man that's just content on simply being here. Note that Penn State stumbled down the stretch as well, finishing its Big Ten schedule at just 2-6, its wins coming over Rutgers and Indiana, two of the conference lightweights. As good as the Lions' defense is, is as horrible as their offense was. I simply can't see the Lions keeping up to the high-flying Eagles. Keep your eyes on Boston College dual-threat QB Tyler Murphy, who finished the year 1,079 rushing yards, setting an ACC record. Note, Boston College would lose three of its games this year in the final moments, the most noteworthy was a 20-17 loss at No. 2 Florida State last month. But the Eagles had plenty of quality wins as well, including a 37-31 win over then No. 9 Southern Cal (I had Boston College in that one). A great situational play, I think BOSTON COLLEGE should be a bigger favorite here as it takes advantage of this content Nittany Lions team.
