This is an 8* BLOWOUT on USC.
For a number of different reasons I think USC will come in focused on the task at hand as it looks to take advantage of a somewhat discombobulated Nebraska team. The Cornhuskers fired Bo Pelini on November 30th, two days after a 37-34 OT win at Iowa. It was a move that many of the players hated, including QB Tommy Armstrong Jr.: "Biggest mistake you ever made," Armstrong Jr. tweeted to athletic director Shawn Eichorst. "Bo was the best coach I've ever had and I'll always appreciate the things you taught me." The Γ’β¬ΛHuskers have a lot of things on their minds at the moment, and honestly, I don't think this bowl game is one of them. It's a huge situational factor which USC (and us!) can take advantage of. The Trojans were 8-4 overall and 6-3 in the Pac 12, ending the regular season with a 49-14 destruction over Notre Dame. One player to keep your eyes on today is USC QB Cody Kessler who completed over 70 percent of his passes for 3,505 yards, 36 TD's and four INT's. Nebraska actually finished third nationally with a 100.6 opponents passer rating, but there is some room to read between the lines as eight of the 11 FBS teams the Cornhuskers faced finished 51st or worst in pass efficiency. In my opinion, this one is a no-brainer, play on USC.
