This is a 10* O/U WEST-COAST EXPRESS on the UNDER between the Minnesota Wild and the Columbus Blue Jackets.
For a number of different situational and strong trend based reasons, I look for this total to sneak below the posted number. Jackets' goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky is 3-1-0 with a 1.68 GAA in his last four starts vs. Minnesota, which is good news as he's been a bit shaky overall of late. Columbus though has posted ten wins this month and will face a Wild team which ended an 0-2-3 slide with Monday's 3-2 win at Winnipeg. Minnesota goaltender Darcy Kuemper made 28 saves: "I'm real happy with how we played the game and the contributions from everybody at both ends of the rink," coach Mike Yeo said afterwards. "I think we did a lot of really good things. There's a small margin between winning and losing. It's one save at a crucial moment, one goal at a crucial time. We were able to bust through." Kuemper will need to be sharp again today, the Wild are among the league's worst on the power play at 13.9 percent overall. Note that Minnesota has seen the total go UNDER the number in seven of 11 this year vs. teams with losing records, while Columbus has seen it dip below the posted number in five of seven after scoring 4 goals or more in its previous contest. In my opinion, all signs do indeed point to the UNDER as the sharp wager here.
