AAA's BIG-CHALK PUCK-LINE DESTRUCTION (+$30,860 NHL s/ 2013!)
(NHL) NY Islanders vs. Edmonton,
Point Spread: 1.50 | -180.00 Edmonton (Home)
Result: Win
This is a 6* BIG-CHALK PUCK-LINE DESTRUCTION on the Edmonton Oilers.

I won't try to convince you that the Oilers are a good team that's just been "unlucky" this season, obviously that's not the truth. Edmonton is dealing with many issues on both ends of the ice, but ultimately I feel this is a "bad" spot for New York and one that the home side (and us!), can take advantage of. The Isles have a game in Vancouver on Tuesday and it's hard not to imagine them "looking ahead" to that contest, overlooking the lowly, but without question hungry, Oilers. New York comes in complacent in my estimation, it's won three straight after beating Calgary 2-1 on Friday. And if history is any precedence, then the home side has to be loving its chances as the Isles haven't won in Edmonton since 2003. The Oilers are coming off a 2-1 shootout loss to the Avs on Friday, but note that they're 6-5 (+2.2 units) in non-conference games this season, while the Islanders are 7-8 (-2 units) in their last 15 after a three-game unbeaten streak. In a game which I feel will be decided late or in the OT period, I have no problem laying the price for the extra 1.5 goals of insurance; play on EDMONTON on the PUCK LINE.
