For a number of different reasons I look for this total to eclipse the posted number as the game comes down the stretch. Pau Gasol and the Bulls already dispatched the Lakers 113-93 on Christmas day. The Bulls will come in highly motivated today after outlasting league-leading Golden State 113-111 in OT on Tuesday. But despite being down star Kobe Bryant, the home side won't be just rolling over, LA will desperately be trying to avoid a nine-game losing streak, most recently blowing a 19-point lead in Tuesday' 98-92 defeat to the Wizards. This selection however is mainly based on strong O/U trends, note that Chicago has seen the total go OVER the number in ten of 18 non-conference games this year and interestingly in ten of 17 after scoring 105 points or more. And note that LA has seen the total sail above the number in nine of 16 this year after playing to three or more consecutive SU losses. I fully expect this total to go OVER the number once the final horn blares.
