This is a 10* O/U EAST-COAST EXPRESS on the OVER between the Montreal Canadiens and the Tampa Bay Lightning.
For a number of different reasons I expect this total to eclipse the posted number as the game comes down the stretch. Both teams come in highly motivated and I think this focus and determination will translate into production on the ice. The Lightning are 3-0-0 in the season series, so it goes without saying that the Habs will be out for revenge today. That includes a 1-0 setback at home last Tuesday. Since then though, the Bolts have lost two straight, there's no way that Tampa will come in complacent here either. From a situational stand point, this is an extremely strong play. Montreal goaltender Carey Price is leading the league in many categories, but his 3.40 GAA in three games vs. the Lightning is his worst vs. any Eastern Conference opponent. I think Tampa goaltender Ben Bishop will finally have his hands full today vs. this motivated visiting side, note that none of his stats rank even in the league's top 10. Price will have to be on his toes as well as note that Tampa Bay has seen the total go OVER the number in all five games it's played after scoring 1 goal or less in its previous game. In my opinion, the situation, the numbers and the trends do all indeed point to the OVER as the savvy move in this one.
