I think that New York is worth the price of admission in this spot. The Rangers and goaltender Cam Talbot look to bounce back after their five game win streak was snapped in a tough 1-0 setback to Chicago on Wednesday; Talbot continues to dominate, he had 30 saves in the unfortunate loss, but has allowed two goals or fewer in all seven of his starts this month, going 5-1-1 with a 1.00 GAA with one shutout in the process. A date vs. the punchless Hurricanes is just what the doctor ordered to return to prominence, Carolina has been limited to four goals in as many games vs. the Blue Shirts this year and is just 1-15-0 in the series since February 2011. The Hurricanes are sputtering down the stretch, they've lost five of their last six, most recently falling 4-0 to Montreal on Thursday (note that it was Carolina's second shutout in its last four games). It comes as little surprise then to learn that the Hurricanes have scored just seven goals during a season-worst four-game home losing streak. Note that New York is 9-3 (+5.9 units) after scoring one goal or less in its previous contest and a resounding 23-8 (+11.8 units) vs. teams with losing records this season. And note that Carolina is 11-15 (-1.9 units) after scoring one goal or less in its previous contest this year and a disturbingly poor 9-24 (-11.3 units) vs. clubs with winning records. I think this is a pretty fair price on the RANGERS all things considered.
