This is an 8* O/U EAST-COAST EXPRESS on the UNDER between the Indiana Pacers and the Brooklyn Nets.
Both teams are in the playoff hunt, meaning there will be a definite "playoff like atmosphere" in the Big Apple tonight and while each club has been playing to some higher-scoring affairs of late, in my opinion the conditions are now right for a much more defensive minded battle and in my opinion, all signs do indeed point to the UNDER as the savvy move in this one. Note that Indiana has seen the total go OVER the number in five straight games, while Brooklyn would see it go UNDER the number in three straight before its 107-99 win over the Lakers on Sunday. Also note that these teams have seen the total go OVER the number in four straight vs. each other, including both this year, in which each club has won on the others floor. This definitely points to the lower number as the sharp move. I think it's also important to point out the Indiana is just 24th overall in PPG at 96.9, while fifth overall in points allowed at 97.3. And with a game in playoff hopeful Boston tomorrow night, Indiana will be extra motivated to notch a victory this evening and suffice it to say, I think that determination will translate into defensive production on the court. Brooklyn also has to be cautious in not getting caught "looking ahead" to its game at cross town rival New York on Wednesday as well. As with most of my Over/Under selections (in all sports), this is a great situational pick, play on the UNDER.
