This is a 10* ASSASSIN on the Oakland Athletics.

This is a match-up which favors the A's hitters, I think we're getting pretty good value in this spot. Oakland lost 7-6 in Friday's opener, coughing up a 6-2 lead in the seventh inning, the team's eighth loss in its last nine. A date vs. John Danks (1-3, 5.12 ERA) is just what the doctor ordered though to get untracked, the veteran is a deplorable 0-3 with a 7.82 ERA in three road starts this year; also note that he was 0-3 with a 3.75 ERA in two starts against the A's last year. I think this also sets up as a letdown spot for the White Sox who come into this one having won three straight. The home side counters with Jesse Chavez who is 1-3 with a 2.56 ERA this season, but who has limited opponents to a .191 average in four starts since joining the rotation on April 23rd. I give Chavez the nod on the bump, in my opinion this is the very definition of "great line value," play on the ATHLETICS.
