AAA's 3-GM SAT. NIGHT DESTRUCTION PASS!
(MLB) Philadelphia vs. Pittsburgh,
Point Spread: -1.50 | -130.00 Pittsburgh (Home)
Result: Loss
This is an 8* play on the Pittsburgh Pirates on the RUN-LINE.

The Phillies trot out veteran Sean O'Sullivan, who despite coming off a quality start in which he received a no-decision for, is having an awful season. O'Sullivan would give up three earned runs off seven hits and two walks over six frames in his team's eventual 6-4 win over the Giants on Sunday. That's the most run support that O'Sullivan had seen in quite a while, but note, the beleaguered veteran is 0-3 with a deplorable 7.02 ERA on the road this year. The Pirates counter with Gerrit Cole (9-2, 1.73 ERA) who would strike out seven off, giving up six hits and three walks over seven scoreless in a 3-0 win over the Braves on Sunday. Cole has been a complete stud this year and is a near perfect 4-1 with a tiny 1.95 ERA in front of the home town crowd this season. No need to overanalyze this one in my opinion, for the most part MLB handicapping comes down to the starting pitching and in this case, the talent discrepancy is so large that I have no issues at all in laying the 1.5 runs for the pick-em price; play on the PIRATES on the RUN-LINE.
