AAA's 5-GM SUPER REPORT (5-0 PERFECT SWEEP?!)
(MLB) Philadelphia vs. NY Yankees,
Point Spread: -1.50 | -130.00 NY Yankees (Home)
Result: Loss
This is an 8* play on the New York Yankees on the RUN-LINE.

This is perhaps the biggest pitching mismatch on the board and as such, I have no problems at all in laying the 1.5 runs and the very reasonable price. The Phillies are clearly struggling in all facets of the game right now, but especially on the mound and at the plate. The visitors send Kevin Correia (0-1, 1.69 ERA) to the hill, who gave up six runs in his team's 6-4 setback to the Orioles on Wednesday. It was just the veterans second start of the year, he'd ultimately give up seven hits over five frames. The home side counters with Michael Pineda (8-3, 3.54 ERA) who struck out nine in a 2-1 win over the Marlins on Wednesday (the fourth time that Pineda has posted nine K's this year). Note that Pineda has been particularly effective at home this year in going 4-1 with a highly respectable 2.36 ERA. For the most part, MLB handicapping comes down to the starting pitching and for this selection, that's all I'm concentrating on; Correia is a confirmed "gas can" and was signed only because of the utter devastation that the Phillies find themselves in, while Pineda is amongst the league's leaders in several categories. Suffice it to say, I think the writing is on the wall and a blowout is in the cards, play on the YANKEES on the RUN-LINE.
