AAA's BIG-CHALK RUN-LINE DESTRUCTION!
(MLB) San Diego vs. NY Mets,
Point Spread: 1.50 | -180.00 San Diego (Away)
Result: Loss
This is a 5* BIG-CHALK RUN-LINE DESTRUCTION on the San Diego Padres.

The Friars are shopping James Shields (8-3, 3.77 ERA) who comes into this one on top form, most recently he'd go five shutout innings, scattering three hits and striking out seven, unfortunately letdown by his bullpen in the no-decision; note though that Shields has dominated in this spot for bettors all season by going a near-perfect 5-1 with a 3.39 ERA in all "night" games to date. The home side counters with Noah Syndergaard (4-5, 2.97 ERA) who went five innings, giving up one run, but walking five in the difficult no-decision; note that while Syndergaard has been excellent at home in his rookie season, he's been anything but in all "night" contests thus far, a pedestrian 2-5 with a 3.58 ERA. For the most part MLB handicapping comes down to the starting pitching and in this case, Shields likely gets the slight nod, but in a contest which we expect to be decided late or in the extra innings, we have no problems at all in laying the larger price for the extra 1.5 runs of insurance. Play on the PADRES on the RUN-LINE.
