AAA's HOME RUN SPECIAL (JUST $25!!!)
(MLB) Texas vs. Toronto,
Money Line: -172.00 Toronto (Home)
Result: Loss
This is a 6* HOME RUN SPECIAL on the Toronto Blue Jays.

The visitors hand the ball to Cole Hamels (13-8, 3.65 ERA) who went nine innings on Sunday in the Rangers' regular season finale vs. the Angels. As good as Hamels has been this year, it's important to note that he's been a bit of a Jekyll and Hyde hurler, while he's a very respectable 6-2 with a 3.31 ERA in his own ballpark, he's just 7-6 with a pedestrian 4.00 ERA on the road this season. Hamels may have had success in the postseason in the past, but that was then and this is now and there's no question that he's struggled vs. Toronto throughout his career, going 0-2 with a horrible 6.97 ERA in four meetings. Note that the Rangers are also likely to be without the services of slugger Adrian Beltre, who left in third inning in yesterday's 5-3 win. The desperate home side would go just 2 for 9 with runners in scoring position yesterday and outhit the Rangers 6-5 overall; suffice it to say, we have a hard time seeing the talented hitters for the home side get shut down in consecutive games. The Jays counter with Marcus Stroman (4-0, 1.67 ERA) who has been fantastic in four starts since returning from injury, limiting batters to just 16 hits and two runs over his last 22 innings of work (note that in his only start vs. the Rangers, Stroman would go seven scoreless in the 4-1 victory). This is unquestionably the biggest game of the year for both teams, but we think that the sense of urgency in which the BLUE JAYS play with after yesterday's frustrating setback will turn out to be the difference and makes this a price in which we have no issues at all in laying.
