From a situational stand point, this play sets up pretty good. The Jets are coming off an emotional collapse at rival New England last week and now have to travel across country to take on a Raiders team which is coming off a 37-29 annihilation of San Diego and has to be feeling pretty good about itself in sitting at 3-3, with an opportunity to now move above .500. It's also a strong trend based selection, note that New York is a poor 7-8 ATS in its last 15 on the road and interestingly, a stunningly poor 1-4 ATS in its last five vs. AFC West division opponents. Conversely, this is in fact a spot in which the Raiders have performed well in for bettors, going 3-2 ATS in their last five when playing the role of underdog and 3-2 ATS their last five vs. the AFC East division. What do you think? Are the oddsmakers underestimating Derek Carr and company once again, or will the visitors' experience on the defensive side of the ball prove to be the difference today?
