Result: Win
I am really high on UW this year and I believe that they had the talent to possibly knock off either Stanford, Oregon or UCLA this season. The game is in Palo Alto and the Cardinal will surely be focused and looking to avenge last year's debacle in Seattle, but Washington remembers their last visit here when Stanford hung 65 points on them and ran up the score. Washington has the defense with linebackers and corners to contain the Stanford offense The Huskies have held Boise St to just 6 pts and Arizona to 13 pts this year and I don't think they are getting the credit they deserve. ington's defense has improved noticeably, but it is necessary to point out that The Arizona offense it contained last Saturday in the rain is very run-heavy and pass-de?cient right now. The Cardinal can plow forward for a lot of yards in a manner much Different from the Arizona zone-read, which Washington was more than ready for last Week, partly because Arizona showed next to no ability to throw the ball with anY kind Of success. Stanford has a 200-200 Run-Pass offense and plays with revenge and a Different (and more ef?cient) quarterback than the kid who anchored their offense in Last season's nationally televised loss in Seattle. ST Look for a tight game right to the end here on Saturday night.
