This is a 10* TOTAL OF THE MONTH on the OVER between the Dallas Mavericks and the Atlanta Hawks.
REASONING: We jumped on this one early and have unfortunately been saddled with a poor line (199). We often grab lines as soon as they come out and while most of the time this strategy works in our favor, lots of times it doesn't. Most (all) of you would be able to get a much better line, even taking into account some expected fluctuation leading up to game time. Regardless, we still love this play as we're expecting these two normally lower-scoring clubs to push the pace from start to finish and for this one to fly OVER as it comes down the stretch. Both teams are fighting for a playoff spot. Dallas got out to the atrocious start to the year, but has gotten healthier and has looked a lot better of late, coming into this one having won two straight. The Hawks most recently broke a three game slide with an impressive 114-98 road win on Monday night. Both teams come in with momentum. Also note that Dallas has seen the total go OVER the number in 30 of its last 50 in trying to revenge a home loss against an opponent, while Atlanta has seen the total go OVER in two of its last three after scoring 112 points or more on the road in its previous contest. We look for this one to eclipse the 200 point plateau, play the OVER.
