Total: 208.00 | -105.00 Under
Result: Loss
This is an 8* TOTAL EXPRESS on the OVER between the Indiana Pacers and the Atlanta Hawks.
We don't subscribe to any single handicapping methodology, but instead feel that being flexible with ones approach is the best way to secure profits over the longterm. Sometimes we keep it simple, while other times we'll take into account numerous different factors, like motivation, scheduling and significant injuries. Recognizing classic "spot bets" is something we always do as well, IE: the "look ahead" spot, the "let down" spot and the "trap" game. One set of criteria which we always use when making our decisions are Against The Spread (ATS) statistics.
This particular play is based primarily on strong/relevant O/U ATS statistics:
As note that Indiana has seen the total go OVER the number in four of six this year after playign three consecutive road games and in two of its last three on the road, while the Hawks have seen the total go OVER in both games it's played this year after allowing 130 points or more and in nine of 12 against the Central division.
The bottom line: The Hawks' offense finally got untracked despite the 135-130 loss to the Cavaliers last time out and we're expecting that momentum to get carried over here. Indiana has played to six straight UNDERs, but with another tough game in Charlotte tomorrow night, we're looking for the visitors to leave everything they have on the floor this evening to secure the victory. All signs point to a faster paced game, play the OVER.
