AAA's 10* WEST-CONF TOTAL OF WEEK (HOUSE $$$ SINCE DAY 1!)
(NHL) Edmonton vs. Anaheim,
Total: 5.00 | 113.00 Under
Result: Win
Total: 5.00 | 113.00 Under
Result: Win
This is a 10* TOTAL OF THE WEEK on the OVER between the Edmonton Oilers and the Anaheim Ducks.
We don't subscribe to any single handicapping methodology, but instead feel that being flexible with ones approach is the best way to secure profits over the longterm. Sometimes we keep it simple, while other times we'll take into account numerous different factors, like motivation, scheduling and significant injuries. Recognizing classic "spot bets" is something we always do as well, IE: the "look ahead" spot, the "let down" spot and the "trap" game. One set of criteria which we always use when making our decisions are Against The Spread (ATS) statistics.
This particular play is based on a few different factors:
As note that Edmonton has seen the total go OVER the number in two of its last three following a divisional contest, while Anaheim has seen the total go OVER in ten of its last 15 when playing with three or more days rest and in 12 of 22 this year against clubs with winning records.
The bottom line: Edmonton enters off a 2-0 home win over LA and it's now won four in a row, while Anaheim comes in off a 2-1 road victory over San Jose, the Ducks have now won five of their last seven. The Oilers average 2.85 GPG and allow 2.51. The Ducks average 2.54 GPG and allow 2.43. This is an important game for both teams, as each is still fighting for second spot in the division. We're expecting a faster-paced affair and for this total to fly OVER as it comes down the stretch.
