*30 STAR* FRIDAY NIGHT TOTALS REPORT (BREAK OUT THE BROOMS DESTRUCTION PASS!)
(NBA) Denver vs. Charlotte,
Total: 220.50 | -110.00 Over
Result: Loss
This is a 10* play on the UNDER between the Denver Nuggets and the Charlotte Hornets.

We don't subscribe to any single handicapping methodology, but instead feel that being flexible with ones approach is the best way to secure profits over the longterm. Sometimes we keep it simple, while other times we'll take into account numerous different factors, like motivation, scheduling and significant injuries. Recognizing classic "spot bets" is something we always do as well, IE: the "look ahead" spot, the "let down" spot and the "trap" game. One set of criteria which we always use when making our decisions are Against The Spread (ATS) statistics.

This particular play is based on a few different factors:

As note that Denver has seen the total go UNDER the number in four of its last five against clubs with losing records, while Charlotte has seen the total go UNDER in all three home games that it's played this year when the total in the contest is set at 220 or higher and in 15 of 28 overall this year against good offensive teams which average 106 plus points per contest.

The bottom line: Devner is tanking, its lost two in a row and four of its last six after falling 122-113 on the road in Portland on Tuesday. Charlotte continued its end of season surge by winning for a fifth time in seven games with a 110-106 effort in Toronto on Wednesday. In Denver's loss to Portland it hit only 9 of 30 three points attempts, which I think is a sign of things to come as the season winds down. The Hornets still trail Indiana by three games for the final spot in the East, so they also have their work cut out for them with time winding down. With reality setting in and fatigue a factor, all signs do indeed point to the UNDER as the savvy move in this contest.
