VERY EARLY A.L. TOTAL "ASSASSIN!" (1:10 EST FIRST PITCH!)
(MLB) Boston vs. Detroit,
Total: 8.00 | -117.00 Over
Result: Loss
This is an 8* TOTAL ASSASSIN on the UNDER between the Boston Red Sox and the Detroit Tigers.

For the most part MLB handicapping comes down to the starting pitching. One of the best ways to properly judge starting pitching is by recent performance. Both Steven Wright and Michael Fulmer had strong spring trainings and we're expecting both to carry that over into the start of the regular season.

Wright: He posted a minuscule 0.68 ERA in 13.1 spring innings spanning four starts. Last year he was 13-6 with a 3.33 ERA and was particularly tough on the road, going 6-4 with a tiny 2.09 ERA.

Fulmer: He was 11-7 with a 3.06 ERA. He sprained his ankle early in spring training but bounced back and looked great in his last start, throwing two scoreless frames before giving up a two run shot in the third in the eventual victory. Fulmer was tough at home last year, going 3-2 with a 3.00 ERA, but he was unstoppable in all day contests by going 5-0 with a tiny 1.78 ERA.

The bottom line: On a somewhat chill Friday afternoon in April, we think these competent starters will be the main story lines in tomorrow's summaries. Play the UNDER.
