(MLB) Atlanta vs. NY Mets,
Money Line: -190.00 NY Mets (Home)
Result: Loss
Money Line: -190.00 NY Mets (Home)
Result: Loss
This is a 5* play on the New York Mets.
Game 1 of this series was postponed yesterday. The Braves will carry over ace Julio Teheran and he'll now face Mets' ace Noah Syndergaard. We believe this one favors the home side:
Teheran: He's 1-1 with a 3.52 ERA. He most recently was rocked for seven runs off seven hits and three walks over four innings. Teheran has in fact not looked great this year, walking at least three batter in three of four outings.
Syndergaard: He's 1-1 with a 1.73 ERA. He wasn't at his best in his last start, giving up five runs (three earned), off seven hits over seven innings in a loss to Philadelphia on Thursday. He did go on to strike out ten though. Syndergaard is now up to 26 innings without giving up a walk, upping him to an impressive 30:00 K:BB through those 26 innings of work.
The bottom line: Note that Atlanta is just 2-9 (-6.1 units) in road games this year and only 5-12 (-6.1 units against right-handed starters, while New York is 20-15 (+3.3 units) in its last 35 after three or more consecutive losses. Looks like the perfect opponent to get off the schneid against, play on the METS.
