(NHL) Nashville vs. Pittsburgh,
Total: 5.50 | 110.00 Over
Result: Loss
This is a 10* TOP PLAY on the UNDER between the Nashville Predators and the Pittsburgh Penguins.

We don't subscribe to any single handicapping methodology, but instead feel that being flexible with ones approach is the best way to secure profits over the longterm. Sometimes we keep it simple, while other times we'll take into account numerous different factors, like motivation, scheduling and significant injuries. Recognizing classic "spot bets" is something we always do as well, IE: the "look ahead" spot, the "let down" spot and the "trap" game. One set of criteria which we always use when making our decisions are Against The Spread (ATS) statistics.

This particular play is based on a few different factors:

As note that Nashville has already seen the total go UNDER the number in all three games so far in the playoffs when tied in a series, while Pittsburgh has seen the total go UNDER the number in seven of its last ten in the Cup Finals overall.

The bottom line: Game 4 also snuck below the posted number, but there was still a good chance at the end of that game for it to sneak above the number. Many thought these all star goaltenders would "steal the show," but so far that hasn't been the case, as both Pekka Rinne and Matt Murray have looked great at times (on their home ice) and really shaky in others (on the road). Fatigue, stress, pressure. It looked like Pittsburgh was going to roll to another easy Stanley Cup victory, but Nashville has now made a series of it. We're expecting a very hard-hitting, grind-it-out, lower-scoring goaltenders battle in Game 5. Play the UNDER.
