Butler: He's 4-2 with a 3.71 ERA. Butler tossed five scoreless against Washington on Monday, allowing four hits with no walks and one K. Over his last two starts he's allowed just one run (note that he owns a respectable 3.71 ERA in all "day" games this year.)
Jackson Stephens: He's 0-0 with a 0.00 ERA. Stephens has been called up to make this start, he posted a poor 4.97 ERA with 60 strikeouts and 33 walks in 76 innings in the minors.
The bottom line: Butler has been far from perfect, but we're giving him the huge nod in this matchup and that will be more than enough to tip the scales in favor of the CUBS this afternoon.
