AAA's TOTAL "ART OF THE GAME!" (BIG UNITS YTD TESTED!)
(NBA) Charlotte vs. Houston,
Total: 220.00 | -112.00 Over
Result: Win
This is an 8* TOTAL ART OF THE GAME on the UNDER between the Charlotte Hornets and the Houston Rockets.

We don't subscribe to any single handicapping methodology, but instead feel that being flexible with ones approach is the best way to secure profits over the longterm. Sometimes we keep it simple, while other times we'll take into account numerous different factors, like motivation, scheduling and significant injuries. Recognizing classic "spot bets" is something we always do as well, IE: the "look ahead" spot, the "let down" spot and the "trap" game. One set of criteria which we always use when making our decisions are Against The Spread (ATS) statistics.

This particular play is based primarily on stront/relevant O/U ATS statistics and common sense:

As note that Charlotte has seen the total go UNDER the number in eight of 13 this year against good offensive teams which score 106-plus points per contest and in eight of 12 when playing the role of underdog, while Houston has seen the total go UNDER the number in four of five this year after a divisional contest and in 13 of 24 when playing the role of favorite.

The bottom line: Houston has seen the total go OVER the number in three straight, but with a game at home against the Spurs up next, there's no question that the home side could be caught "looking ahead." Charlotte snapped a three game slide with a resounding 116-103 win at OKC in its latest action, but with a long home stand starting against the heat on Friday night, it's also not too hard to imagine the visitors looking ahead as well. When taking into account the above strong O/U trends, all signs do indeed point to the UNDER as the savvy move in this contest.
