Total: 200.50 | -110.00 Under

This is a 10* TOTAL OF THE YEAR on the OVER between the Orlando Magic and the Detroit Pistons.
We don't subscribe to any single handicapping methodology, but instead feel that being flexible with ones approach is the best way to secure profits over the longterm. Sometimes we keep it simple, while other times we'll take into account numerous different factors, like motivation, scheduling and significant injuries. Recognizing classic "spot bets" is something we always do as well, IE: the "look ahead" spot, the "let down" spot and the "trap" game. One set of criteria which we always use when making our decisions are Against The Spread (ATS) statistics.
This particular play is based primarily on strong/relevant ATS statistics and common sense:
As note that Orlando has seen the total go OVER the number in six of its last eight after playing to six or more consecutive ATS losses, while Detroit has seen the total go OVER the number in eight of its last ten after seeing the total go UNDER the number in nine or more straight games.
The bottom line: Orlando is just 3-7 SU in its last ten and comes in having lost six straight ATS. Despite some key injuries, clearly we're not going to have to question the Magic's overall motivation levels this evening. And for Detroit, after a seven-game losing streak, it's now won two straight. Clearly the Pistons won't be taking anything for granted here today either after the extended stretch of futility. With both teams pushing the pace, all signs do indeed point to the OVER as the savvy move in this contest.
