We like the Butler Bulldogs to defeat the Southern Methodist Mustangs on Friday at 7:00pm ET for a number of reasons. Here are some of the more important ones:

After opening up as the slight favorite, the Bulldogs are now an underdog, giving us plenty of value to work with.

Butler is a team that's flying under the radar. They weren't great last year, but should be improved.

SMU are just 1-9 versus the spread over their L10 games overall since last year.

The Mustangs have also lost all of their last four games away from home.

The Bulldogs are 72-4 in their L76 games at Hinkle Fieldhouse versus non-conference opponents.

We think that the home underdog wins this one.
