We like the Mercer Bears to defeat the East Tennessee State Buccaneers on Wednesday at 7:00pm ET for a number of reasons. Here are some of the more important ones:

Mercer is 9-6 this season and has a lot of positive things going on at the moment. Scoring a lot is one of them.

The Bears have yet to lose a game at home. 5-0 this season.

Looking back even further, they've won eight straight home games since last season.

East Tennessee State's record is slightly worse at 8-7. Its lost five of its L7 games this year.

The Buccaneers have covered the spread in just one of those seven games.

They are also just 6-14 over their L20 games played in the month of December.

We think that the Mercer is the better team right now and will take the points easily at home.
