We like the Akron Zips to defeat the Central Michigan Chippewas on Saturday at 7:00pm ET for a number of reasons. Here are some of the more important ones:

Akron has lost just five times this season in 24 games. Its on a 12-game winning streak.

Along with Miami OH, the Zips are on top of the Mid-American Conference by quite a large margin. Akron hasn't lost yet though within the conference.

The Zips are also 8-0 over their L8 games played against CMU, covering against the spread in three straight.

Central Michigan is just 2-9 as an underdog this season after losing to Kent State last game.

The Chippewas have covered versus the spread in less than half of their L13 home games (just six times.)

CMU is not going to be able to handle the offensive pressure of Akron.
