Our selection is on the Minnesota Lynx to defeat the Golden State Valkyries on Saturday at 8:00pm ET for a number of reasons. Here are some of the more important ones:

Golden State has done well just to have a winning record at this point in it's first season.

The Valkyries are just 2-4 on the road this season and have been blessed with a lot of early home games.

Minnesota lost the Commissioners Cup Final on Tuesday -- bounced back on Thursday with a 17 point win over Washington.

Losing that final that could be good news. Each of the past two teams to lose that final has gone on to win the championship in the same year.

The Lynx are still 15-3 this season and are 10-1 over their L11 games played at home since last year.
