The A's hand the ball to Scott Kazmir (3-4, 2.79 ERA) who is coming off a gem vs. the Rangers on Thursday, giving up one hit over eight frames, while striking out six in the 7-0 victory. Kazmir has excelled in this spot as well this season, posting a 1.99 ERA in all "day" games thus far. SD throws Andrew Cashner (2-8, 4.16 ERA) who is trending in the opposite direction, he gave up four runs on seven hits in a setback to the Braves on Thursday. And unfortunately for Cashner fans, this is a spot in which he's struggled in all season, 0-5 with a 3.52 ERA at home and just 1-2 with a 4.18 ERA in all "day" games. Lets back the Oakland A's over the Padres who have the edge this afternoon.
