Houston has one of the best records in the league at home this year.
C.J. Wilson takes the mound for Mike Scioscia's squad and while some of his numbers look pretty good over recent season, I'm not ready to back a starting pitcher who can't lead his team as a road underdog. The Angels have won just 2 of their last 17. He's struggled badly in his last six against Houston, getting rocked for a tune of 9.59 ERA.
Colin McHugh has had no such trouble with the Angel lineup. The Houston righty has a 2.08 ERA in a 6 starts against his AL West rivals and he's held Erick Aybar, Chris Iannetta, and Mike Trout to a combined 4-for-34 at the plate keeping them in check. He'll lead a Houston team that's on a 6-0 run at home against southpaws. The Astros are also 13-3 in their last 16 home games with McHugh on the mound and I'll back Houston here at home tonight.
