AAA's AMERICAN LEAGUE SIGNATURE TOTAL "ART OF THE GAME!"
(MLB) Oakland vs. Seattle,
Total: 6.00 | 103.00 Under
Result: Loss
This is an 8* "TOTAL ART OF THE GAME" on the OVER between the Oakland Athletics and the Seattle Mariners.

A couple of the league's best face off in the opener of this three-game set, the final one for both team's before the All Star break. Both of these line-ups have struggled at times to put runs on the board, but despite all of that, I look for this total to sneak above the number as the game comes down the stretch. The home side turns to Felix Hernandez (10-2, 2.11 ERA) who was supposed to face Minnesota last night before getting his start pushed back to this evening. Hernandez is 6-1 with a 1.40 ERA during a franchise-record ten consecutive starts of at least seven innings. Note that Seattle's bullpen is gassed right now though, it used six pitchers in yesterday's lacklustre 4-2 home loss to the Twins. And note, as good as Hernandez has been against the A's historically, in his last outing vs. them on May 7th he gave up four runs and 11 hits over 6 1/3's innings of a 6-4, 10-inning victory. Oakland counters with Jeff Samardija (1-0, 1.29 ERA) who looked great in his first start after getting traded from the Cubs, allowing one run and four hits over seven innings in Sunday's 4-2 home win over Toronto, but is set up for a natural letdown spot here. These two line-ups are loaded with power, and I think it's safe to say that each has been underachieving. Note that Oakland has seen the total go OVER the number in 10 of 15 this year when the total in the game is set at 7 or less, while Seattle has seen the total soar above the number in 12 of 22 at home when the total is 7 or less. I definitely feel that the situation, the numbers and the trends all point to the OVER as the sharp wager in this contest.
