AAA's 3-GM FRI NIGHT MLB TOTALS REPORT!
(MLB) St. Louis vs. Philadelphia,
Total: 7.50 | -102.00 Over
Result: Loss
This is an 8* play on the UNDER on the St. Louis Cardinals and the Philadelphia Phillies.

A couple of capable veterans square off in the opener of this three game set, when the smoke finally clears at the end of this one, I expect this total to sneak below the posted number. Cards' ace Adam Wainwright (15-7, 2.40 ERA) will go for the major league lead for victories against a team he's dominated throughout his career, he's won three straight against the Phillies and is 9-1 with a very respectable 2.32 ERA in nine starts vs. them overall. Wainwright has been commanding at Citizens Bank Park as well, he's 2-0 with a tiny 1.64 ERA there; note that in his most recent start vs. Philadelphia the big right-hander would give up one run off six scattered hits over eight frames while earning the 4-1 victory on June 21st. The Cards are coming off some high-scoring affairs, they just finished a three-game sweep of the Reds, including Wednesday's 7-3 victory, but I think come in a bit complacent here. The home side sends Kyle Kendrick (5-11, 4.90 ERA) to the hill; Kendrick has struggled for the most part this year, but despite losing to the Cards this season, he's posted a 5-3 and 3.36 ERA in nine lifetime starts vs. St. Louis. I think the situation, the numbers and the trends all point to the UNDER as the sharp wager in this one.
