AAA's 10* VERY EARLY NATIONAL LEAGUE TOTAL "ASSASSIN!"
(MLB) Cincinnati vs. Pittsburgh,
Total: 6.50 | -104.00 Under
Result: Loss
This is a 10* TOTAL ASSASSIN on the OVER between the Cincinnati Reds and the Pittsburgh Pirates.

Despite a couple of capable starters going head to head in this one, I think this total will sneak above the posted number as the game comes down the stretch. The first two games of this series have stayed below the number and Pittsburgh has prevailed in each. In fact, the Pirates have seen the total go UNDER the posted number in six straight. Pittsburgh's recent surge (four straight) has it within two games of Milwaukee in the Central. A fifth straight win will likely be its hardest as it faces Reds' ace Johnny Cueto (15-8, 2.26 ERA) who is 3-0 with a 1.80 ERA in four starts vs. the Reds this year. Cueto has gotten a ton of support vs. the Pirates as well, 19 runs in those four matchups. Most recently though Cueto gave up three runs off seven hits in a 3-0 loss to the Cubs on Tuesday. The home side counters with Francisco Liriano (3-10, 3.98 ERA) who gave up four hits and three walks over six innings in his team's 3-2 loss to St. Louis on Monday. As mentioned off the top, there's no question that these two men can pitch, but there's also no question that each of these talented line-ups is under achieving at right now; I think that ends today, the situation, the numbers and the trends all point to the OVER as the sharp wager in this one.
