AAA's AMERICAN LEAGUE "ASSASSIN!"
(MLB) Toronto vs. Tampa Bay,
Money Line: -127.00 Tampa Bay (Home)
Result: Loss
This is an 8* ASSASSIN on the Tampa Bay Rays.

Over the course of a season, every pitcher will have a really bad start, and that's exactly what happened to Chris Archer in his last one; Archer (8-7, 3.40 ERA) had gone 3-1 with a 2.25 ERA over seven straight quality starts before getting shelled for seven earned runs along with 10 hits in just four frames in an 8-4 loss to the Red Sox on Friday. So should we hit the panic button? Obviously not, Archer had in fact given up that many runs over his previous five outings combined. Note that in his only other start in his career in which he gave up seven runs (a 7-1 loss to the O's on April 14th), Archer would then bounce back by holding the Yankees to one run and three hits over 6 2/3's innings for a 16-1 win in his next outing on April 19th. And a date vs. the Jays is just what the doctor ordered to get untracked, Archer has allowed two runs or fewer over at least six innings in five of his seven career matchups with Toronto while going 2-0 with a very respectable 2.90 ERA in the process. The visitors counter with Marcus Stroman (8-5, 3.88 ERA) who gave up one earned run over 7 2/3's innings in a 5-2 win over Boston on Wednesday. However, take note that Stroman has been hit or miss all year, he had given up five earned runs in three of his previous four starts, including an 8-0 loss to Tampa on August 22nd. I think the home side bounces back today after yesterday's 8-2 shellacking, in my opinion this is great line value; play on TAMPA BAY.
