AAA's 10* ALCS GAME 2 TOTAL BLOCKBUSTER!
(MLB) Baltimore vs. Kansas City,
Total: 7.50 | -110.00 Over
Result: Push
This is a 10* TOTAL BLOCKBUSTER on the UNDER between the Baltimore Orioles and the Kansas City Royals.

I don't use any one particular handicapping methodology, I believe that being "flexible" with one's approach is the best way to produce longterm profits. That said, I am a "situational" handicapper at heart and I'm also one that likes to search out lop-sided trends and numbers as I feel these have a way of naturally correcting themsevles, over the short, mid and the long term. In this case, both of these teams come in having played to a number of OVERS in a row, suffice it to say I finally believe the conditions are right for a lower-scoring duel today. Baltimore has seen the total go OVER the number in four of its last five, including of course the first two games of the ALCS, while Kansas City has now seen it go OVER in three straight. The visitors send Wei-Yin Chen to the mound and the home side counters with Jeremy Guthrie. Baltimore likes it chances in any game if it can have a lead when turning over the ball to its bullpen and that will be the task today for Chen who pitched well against the Royals in two games earlier in the season. Guthrie hasn't pitched since September 26th, but has thrown simulated games and bullpen sessions: "I've never had this much time between starts aside from being on the DL," Guthrie assessed, "so I don't view it one way or another. I was able to throw a simulated game, which at least gave me the opportunity to go out there and face hitters." Note that Baltimore has seen the total go UNDER the number in 13 of its last 20 when playing with a day off, while Kansas City has seen it dip below the posted number in 29 of 50 vs. southpaws this year. I feel that the situation, the numbers and the trends all point to the UNDER as the sharp wager in this one.
