AAA's 10* O/U INTERCONTINENTAL EXPRESS!
(NHL) San Jose vs. NY Islanders,
Total: 5.50 | -120.00 Over
Result: Loss
This is a 10* O/U INTERCONTINENTAL EXPRESS on the UNDER between the San Jose Sharks and the New York Islanders.

A couple of 3-0 teams clash on Thursday night and for a number of different situational and trend based reasons, I'm expecting this total to stay below the posted number. I played San Jose in its 4-0 season opening win over the Kings. The Sharks would then beat the Jets 3-0 on Saturday, and then would hold on for a 6-5 shootout victory over the Capitals on Tuesday. The Isles are off to their first 3-0 start since 2001, they've scored 15 goals while going 5 for 12 on the power play; New York has to be feeling pretty lucky though, sloppy play defensively has been picked up by new goaltender Jaroslav Halam, who had 40 saves in his team's 6-3 win over the Rangers on Tuesday (note that Halak is a respectable 5-5-0 with a 2.57 GAA in 12 career games vs. San Jose). The Sharks are expected to start Antti Niemi who for the most part has been pretty solid to start the year (shut out the Kings), but he may be benched in favor of backup Alex Stalock who shut out the Jets in his season debut. These are a couple of high-scoring teams, but I think both will come in a little flat footed and tenative, which will pave the way to a harder hitting and ultimately lower-scoring UNDER once the final whistle sounds.
