AAA's *SIGNATURE* TOTAL "ART OF THE GAME!"
(NHL) Florida vs. Colorado,
Total: 5.50 | -120.00 Under
Result: Win
This is an 8* TOTAL ART OF THE GAME on the OVER between the Florida Panthers and the Colorado Avalanche.

The home side will be playing with desperation tonight as it looks to avoid a fourth straight loss, the Avs have gone 0-2-1 in their last three games which ended with a 3-2 setback to Montreal on Saturday. Colorado will look to get going offensively, it managed just nine goals on its road trip, scoring more than two in just one contest, a fact which made coach Patrick Roy remark: "We're going to have to be a little bit better around the net, and put more pucks on net and make the goalie work a little more," Roy confirmed. Goaltender Calvin Pickard looked a little shaky in allowing all three goals to the Habs in the second period. So far Florida has been bailed out by some pretty good goaltending, earning three points in the first two games of its four game-trip; Roberto Luongo and backup Al Montoya have been excellent so far, but I think whichever starts today will have his hands full with this determined and clearly under achieving Avs offense. Florida will also look to break out of its offensive slump, the team has totaled a league low five goals so far this year: "We've got to find ways to score more (goals), to generate more offense," said Panthers' winger Brad Boyes yesterday. "We've got to sustain more pressure. We've got to start playing in sync a little bit more. I think when we do that, (we'll be a better team)." A couple of "hungry" teams face off here, I definitely expect that to translate into some goals tonight; note that Florida has in fact seen the total go OVER the number in six of its last seven after playing to three or more consecutive unders, while Colorado has seen it eclipse the number in three of its last four after three or more consecutive losses. The situation, the numbers and the trends all do indeed point to the OVER as the savvy move in this one.
