AAA's O/U EAST-COAST EXPRESS! 15-4 NHL RUN L10 DAYS!
(NHL) Buffalo vs. Toronto,
Total: 5.50 | -135.00 Under
Result: Loss
This is an 8* EAST-COAST EXPRESS on the OVER between the Buffalo Sabres and the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Both teams are hungry for a win here and while each has played to a bunch of UNDERS to start the year, I feel the conditions are right for a higher-scoring affair this evening and believe the savvy move is on backing the OVER. The Leafs are coming off a listless 4-1 loss to Boston on Saturday, they managed the single goal which helped them avoid a second shutout in three games, falling to a dismal 1-4-0 at home so far this season: "No explanation. I think we're two different teams on the road and home for some reason," Toronto center Nazem Kadri said last night. A date vs. the Sabres is just what the Leafs' offense needs to get untracked, they went 3-1-1 against Buffalo last year. Both teams have been atrocious on the power-play, Toronto is 0 for 19 in its last five games, the Sabres have yet to score with the man advantage this year, 0 for 30. But lop-sided streaks and numbers are meant to be broken and that's what I expect here as each opens it up on the offensive side of the ice tonight, I think both will get plenty of chances this evening. Despite being one of the worst offensive clubs, the Sabres do come in with some momentum, they beat the Sharks 2-1 in San Jose on Saturday: "The last three games in particular, our work ethic is improving," coach Ted Nolan said. "As a result our play is getting better. One thing we learned, hopefully, is if you work, good things happen. That's the way we're going to have to win this season." Defensively the Sabres are one of the worst in the league as well, allowing opponents to shoot a league-high 36.7 SPG. Note that Buffalo has seen the total go OVER the number in three of its last five after playing three consecutive road games, while Toronto has seen it sail above the number in 14 of its last 24 after playing with two days of rest. The situation, the numbers and the trends all point to the OVER as the sharp wager in this one.
