This is an 8* SITUATIONAL O/U DESTRUCTION on the UNDER between SMU and Tulsa.
I think the conditions are right for a lower-scoring game here and believe the value is on the UNDER in this one. The Mustangs are still the only winless team in the nation and face a Tulsa side that's lost seven straight. Certainly the Mustangs will be hungry to avoid an 0-12 record and Tulsa is one of the worst teams that SMU will face this year. Tulaso is 1-7, it's only win was an improbable come from behind double OT victory over Tulane in its opener (I had the Green Wave in that one, still one of the worst beats of the entire season). It will be all hands on deck for SMU as it tries to garner a single victory. That said, SMU hasn't even named a starting QB yet, the decision will be made at game time. That's not a good sign for an offense which has struggled all year to this point. The Golden Hurricane's biggest issue during its slide has been on the defensive end of the field, but they obviously catch a big break this weekend in facing the Mustangs anemic and discombobulated unit. Offensively the team has been solid, led by Dane Evans who has 2,290 yards and 14 major scores thus far; note though that Tulas has seen the total go UNDER the number in three of its last four home games when the total in the contest is set between 55.5 and 63, while SMU has seen it dip below the posted number in five of its last seven following a bye week. All signs point to the UNDER as the sharp move here.
