This is a 5* SITUATIONAL BIG-CHALK PUCK-LINE DESTRUCTION on the Colorado Avalanche.
If you've followed me for any length of time, you know that I am primarily a situational handicapper and this selection can definitely be considered a "situational" play. The Avalanche are struggling for victories, desperation breeds motivation in my opinion and while the outright isn't out of the question, I feel much more comfortable laying the price for the extra 1.5 goals of insurance. The Avs are coming off an embarrassing 6-0 loss on Long Island and I think can take advantage of a complacent Rangers team that shook off a couple of poor performance to hammer the high-powered Penguins 5-0 on Tuesday. However, as I mentioned, this sets up as a classic "look ahead/letdown" spot for the home side as it has a game in Pittsburgh on Saturday night. It's the perfect opportunity to pull the trigger on a strategic PUCK LINE wager in a contest which I feel will be a lot more competitive than what the oddsmakers are leading us to believe; play on COLORADO.
