The Phoenix Suns play host to the Memphis Grizzlies on Monday. The Suns are coming off a 87-106 loss at Golden State while Memphis beat Oklahoma City at home to run its winning streak to six games. Neither team has a huge advantage in this game but getting points with the home side is just too enticing in what we are expecting to be a very close win.
Here are my keys to the game:
Phoenix's revenge motivation- Phoenix dropped a 122-110 double OT game at home to the Memphis Grizzlies the last time these teams met. The Suns are 12-9 revenging a loss to an opponent this season. Don't think that the Suns have forgotten about that loss.
Explosive Suns offense- It will be defense meet offense in this game and the Suns offense should prevail on home court. The Suns are near the top of the NBA with 106.8 per game this season. That offensive production has helped Phoenix to eighth place in the competitive West, two games ahead of New Orleans.
Memphis letdown- The Grizzlies are coming off a very tough and grueling home win over OKC. The first game of a three game road is classic spot for a letdown. The Grizzlies sit comfortably in a playoff spot and this game doesn't mean quite as much in the long run for them.
X-Factor- Eric Bledsoe (16.9 points per game) and Dragic (16.5) lead the balanced offense, which features five players averaging more than 13.0
